    what gears to buy and maybe a locker???

    ts a 2004 gmc sierra ext cab 4x4 with the 5.3 4l60e tranny, mods are cai, sorties, cat back, vette servos, and nelsons 91 tune, i have 28/5 tires on 16 inch rims

    i was thinking eather a 4.11 or 4.24 gears? any input is grateful as to maybe what ratio to go with and what brand? also any info on a locker thanks guys...

    what gears you got now? 3.73's to 4.10's wouldn't be worth tearing into front and rear if you wasn't looking for a slight difference at track

    what kinda milage do u think id get at 70 75???

    33's with 4.56, prob cruizn 70-75 around 2400, 2500 RPM.

    Who cares about mileage hahaha, you will love the snap and power gain.

    well i got a 60 mile to and from work drive everyday other wise i wouldnt lol, but u think they will wake it up?

    Detroit tru-trac for a locker hands down (tho its not a TRUE locker)...i'v put mine through hell and have been extremely pleased

    If not 4.56's, you could do 4.30's. But that would only be about 100 rpm lower on the highway.

    Go with the 4.56's.

    whatever gear ratio you decide just make sure its the oem gear for the street so you wont have the gear cry, and about the locker my xcab crunched the aubern locker so i got the upgraded pro series auburn locker. the eaton lockers are very strong, our other 5 street trucks that run 11s or better have not broken not even one eaton locker.just my opinion.
