leveling kit with lift kit?

my buddy has a 6 inch lift on his 08 4wd and just bought the three inch leveling kit from ebay will it work?

Levelling kits for those trucks just go in between the strut and its mount, it's like a lift block. At least that's how I've done the half dozen or so that I did at GM. So if he doesnt have that already then it's fine.
