Thread: TAD last night....

    TAD last night....

Took the truck out there with slightly less gas than last time LOL. Made quite an improvement, still slow as shit though.

    Last times best:
    16.25 @ 89

    This times best:
    15.82 @ 90

Only thing I did different was have half a tank less gas and stall it up a little harder on the launch. The truck should be alot faster than it is but the previous owner has one hell of a jacked up combo im working with here.

Cam with no stall, 32.5 inch tall tires, and an 87 octane tune.

So my three obvious mods to do are a stall, smaller tires (and rims, big heavy chrome 20's FTL) and a 93 octane tune. I was losing to my friends ram everytime, but running 5mph higher consistantly. He runs 15.1-15.3's but only traps 85.

I think those three mods I listed above would easily put me mid 14's, and some dope on top of that for 13's. I would be happy with a 13 second 4.8 until I do the 6.0 swap.

My friend I see gears being your next best mod. These trucks are heavy, and Im thinkin you have the factory ratio. Correct me if Im wrong please. But I also have the 3.42's and goin to 4.10's. Should help alot!

anything over 30" with heavy factory 20s needs 4.56 gears..... 4.10 is decent but 4.56 will make it run hard... and a Circle D TBSS stall would make it much better....

Yeah I think smaller wheels/tires, new tune alone would get me close to 14's. We will see, she is a work in progress.
