what does the full slip look like? did any of the other slips back it up? i'm just curious because with a 1.8 to 1.9 60' you would need to trap into the 130+mph range to run a 10.57 unless the run went bad after the 1/8 or it put down some kind of amazing 1/8 and the truck falls off up top (doesnt look like it with that MPH)

assuming a 1.80 60' (lowest 1.8 for benifit of doubt) and 127 MPH trap my ricer math figures 11.0 possibly a 10.9. to get a 10.5 at 127 mph would need a 1.49 60'. (assuming it was a full run)

not meaning to call anyone out, and really didnt want to post this because it's about jon and everyone will probably get their panties in a bunch, but i'm curious about how the time slip worked out. I it's always possible that he let out on the top end, or ran out of nitrous and his top end didnt match his expected time for the 1/8 time. other possibilities could be that some sensors are out of whack on the track showing wrong mph or e.t. or something blew across the beam...but my ricer math for a 1.80 60' and 127mph isnt adding up to a 11.5.

^^^This... I think something with the timing system and speed play a part in the low MPH? Coulda been a run where he got a 1.7 60 also... I didn't sit and study the slip. It might still be in the truck or it blew out on highway 95

mph would have to be off well over 4mph even with a 1.70 60'. hell, if the mph is correct, he would need roughly a 1.45 60' time to get close to a 11.57. and if the 60' was 1.70 (sub 1.7 giving the benifit of doubt) he would need 135+mph. did all of the slips fall within the 10.60-10.90 range and consistant on the MPH? these numbers just arent talking to me lol. seeing the slip would help a ton. it's always possible that the truck is just a 1/8 mile monster, but i cant see that either with those 60' times.

Here ya go. Here are two other slips from the night. Can't find the 10.5x slip must have put it somewhere special to frame or something... These are close though..

LOL, i know. which is why i called it ricer math. it's not always what you expect but it's pretty damn close most of the time. whats with people losing their best time slips lately? i still have my best from 3 years ago.

what happened on that 2nd slip? better time and mph on the 1/8 but lost mph through the 1/4. did something go wrong? out of curiosity, any motor times?

I think it has alot to do with the track (Temple)... they never even touch the track past the 1/8th. There is atleast some rubber/vht/prep up to the 1/8th mile marker, the rest of the track might as well be a county road lol

Its usually always spinning some down the track like Kurt said. Shitty track but its only 20min from my shop. Never any prep and the shutdown area is nothing. So sometimes I think im on the brakes before I reach the 1/4 beam, probably why it went 10.85@123. Ill see if I can find a video of running down the track from the trucks view...

Here is a run there. you can see it spinning off the line then spinning again around the 1/8... just a shitty track 95% of the time...LOL at the titan...he told his buddy he was gunna spank this cheby...

Maybe if I do a gear swap from 4.10s to 4.88s and swap stalls from a 3200 to a 4500 it might run 9's. Keep in mind its not built for track...damn street racers...ricer..LOL

haha im guessing that's aimed at skeet? Spinning past the 1/8 would definately explain the confusion in my ricer math. it looks like my neighborhood street past the 1/8th lol. maybe 1 day ill have enough power to have traction issues past 100mph on slicks...
