    Wow. Incredible numbers. Since its an 05 ECSB 4WD truck, it very well could be the HO 5.3L. That was the first year they were optioned in that truck. Its amazing what flat top pistons, aluminum heads, and a slight bump in CR will do for ya!

    -What would ID the OP's truck as a "HO"?

    Look in the glovebox for the option code L33 or LM7. The L33 is the HO 5.3, the LM7 is the standard 5.3.

    Great numbers for sure out of an older 5.3. I bet it's a HO L33. I've never seen that high in a NBS 5.3.

    Wow. now Im really pissed about my numbers. I have a motor a whole liter bigger and that 5.3 spanked it.
    2003 GMC K1500 ECSB running an Iron 383 Stroker ......

    I just want to hit 300 in my 5.3 before I take her out for a 6.0, only 35 hp to go any ideas???? Great numbers nice truck

    damn good numbers......

    but what were the sae numbers and smoothing set on 5?

    std and smoothing set to 0 will yeild the highest numbers
    i put down 325hp 320tq sae, std put down like 350-360 cant remember exact now
    5.3l-Tsp 220/220 .581/.581 112LSA, Comp 918 revised springs, tsp pushrods-UDP intake, LS1 E-fans, Walbro 255,vette servo, tru cool 40k cooler-4.11s with detroit tru trac. Nitrous Outlet big noid wet system with Harris Speed Works plate and Microedge controller-only on 75 shot........for now!

    Dang good numbers man! Just had my truck done at LG and only put down 357/350
    2004 5.3l, Vortech sc, #43 injectors, level 4 FLT 4l60E, Yank 3200 stall, magnaflow exhaust,K&N CAI, Tuned by LG Motorsports, 2/4 Drop, and 20" Chip foose rims.
