    Oil pick up o ring?

Just wondering how many of you have replaced the o ring in the oilpump pick up tube? And did it cure the lifter tick? Recently purchased truck has 175000km on it and has a small tick. Its there sometimes and gone others? Ive read and heard that the o ring could be split causing the lifters not to fully pressureize? Will changing the O ring fix this and how does it affect longevity etc? Thanks for any help!!!

when the 0-ring went bad on mine i lost ALL oil pressure...but just about every truck i'v ever seen has that tickin noise, it usually goes away once the engine warms up. i'd just drive it and not worry bout it bro...mines been doin it ever since it was new and still did it when i put a new o-ring in the pick up tube. its annoying but wont hurt anything

Did the motor have to come out to do the o ring? My 6.0 is having oil pressure issues. When cold it takes awhile to build pressure. Just wondering how much of a job im in for?
