If you are referring to your 2002, nothing actually mounts to the inner fender. It is just plastic. The stuff mounts to the inner lip of the fender and it is not removable. I wouldn't run without the plastic liner. Your engine bay will stay filthy.
Yeah, I wouldn't remove them entirely due to water and dirt either. Maybe find a second set and trim em up a bit.

I dont think you have to trim them in order to see them, don't hold me to that but i have a buddy with lt's and you can see his from outside

if u do a body lift you will be able to see them a lot bettter
ya...mine are really visible, BL. Engine bay is dirty, but no worse then it's always been, I wouldn't let that stop you from trimming them a little. Cut bowties in them![]()
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum
Hot cheap header + splashing through a puddle with no inner fender = damage. If I can crack a stock manifold that way then cheap set of tubes don't stand a chance.
