My converter came in today!! It's a nice piece, i can't wait to try it out.

I went with a Chance converter, after doing my research, they sound like the best, but they are pricey.
He doesn't ask you what stall you'd like, he builds the converter from other data, like bore, stroke, gears, power output, torque, power adders, weight, etc, then I guess puts it into a computer or from his experience and then builds the tightest converter while still keeping the truck in it's power band.
I did get the optional part that compliments a turbo, it's supposed to allow for quicker spool and someting else, lol.
He did say it should stall around 3500rpms, sounds good to me.

Oh ya, it came in a couple weeks ago, looks good.

Has a transbrake in it and an electronic shift solenoid for the shift. So, I put it in 1st, then haul ass, when I'm ready to shift, I just tap a little button I'm going to mount on the steering wheel and it shifts internally (the shifter doesn't move).
Then you put it in nuetral to reset it.
It's a fully manul trans no cable.

I just couldn't go with that big ass trans, I know it's the ultimate overdrive, but this time it's a Powerglide.

When Allen mentioned Neal Chance, I knew it wasn't an o/d. They don't make one for any overdrive. I tried to get one built for my sy but no luck.

Neal is one of the best. Allen did you get the bolt-together unit?

Chance seems to be one of the best out there, I researched it for about a month, it was a more than I was planning on spending for a converter, but I didn't want to go cheap on the drivetrain.
I got the welded type, I'm not one to dig into a converter, I'll just send it back to him if I blow a trans, so they can clean it up.

I'll keep ya'll updated,

allen
