the failure rate is something like .000000008%. i dont even know how to say that. the media enjoys blowing things out of portion and getting everyone into a panic. toyota is just being proactive on recalling an extremely small potential hazard. also, it's only higher mileage units that are likely to be affected. i doubt any of the 2009 and 2010 models are high mileage yet.

and for the record, toyota is as american as chevy at this point. we need to get over our brand loyalties and recognize a great product when we see it.

I think Toyota had a recall on their driver floor mats, becuase they would jam up the gas pedal.

that was lexus (toyota owned). the problem was when the floor mats were installed upside down. dealerships like to do that on new vehicles to keep the carpet mats clean.

no Toyota has a recall about the floor mats. My boss got the recall notice in the mail. They told him for the time being to remove the floor mats.

Toyota, Lexus Mat Recall: 3.8 Million Vehicles Recalled Over Floor Mats

WASHINGTON — Toyota Motor Corp. said Tuesday it will recall 3.8 million vehicles in the United States, the company's largest-ever U.S. recall, to address problems with a removable floor mat that could cause accelerators to get stuck and lead to a crash.

The recall will involve popular models such as the Toyota Camry, the top-selling passenger car in America, and the Toyota Prius, the best-selling gas-electric hybrid.

The recall will affect 2007-2010 model year Toyota Camry, 2005-2010 Toyota Avalon, 2004-2009 Toyota Prius, 2005-2010 Tacoma, 2007-2010 Toyota Tundra, 2007-2010 Lexus ES350 and 2006-2010 Lexus IS250 and IS350.

if you truely believe toyota is as american as chevy something is seriously wrong. just cause its assembled here doesnt mean its amercian vehicle.

you can put sugar on shit in the end its still shit. build a import here its still an import in the end
    2002 Lightning - GT headed 5.5Litre w/ Twin 7665s
    2002 Silverado - 427Lsx w/ Twin gt4202s
    2010 Silverado crewcab Z71 - 5.3litre w/ procharger
    2000 Wrangler - 5.3litre with some stance
    2014 Xsport- 3.5 Eco boost
    412 Motorsports

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference
