    Trouble with engine instalation????

    Hey folks, got a problem here the truck is a 2007 NNBS with a 5.3. I was putting the engine back in tonight everything is hooked up but whenever i hook the positive cable to the battery and touch the test light on the engine, the test light lights up. if i try to hook the negative cable to the battery it arcs like crazy?????? Can someone tell me what's up here???Thanks.

    Im a noob,but maybe the wire that goes from the battery to the starter is touching ground somewhere?

    How bad does it arc? Every time I disconnect the battery terminals are reconnect, they spark a little.

    I'm liking it. I would trace all your + cables and see what they are connected to, or if they're touching chassis somewhere.
