Okay,I know this is a long time running topic I took my single glasspack with y and 2.5 out the back off and put my 3 chamber 50 series single in dual out dumped with 3 inch turndowns back on. Im waiting on my new tune to get here and see what differance it makes.at the moment its semi crippled from pinging and shifting too soon...... but since I changed the exhaust it seems to have really good part throttle power, but is stock feeling every where else.I like the flow sound ,nice deep tone, not bad in overdrive...but that hissing, vaccum cleaner sound at full throttle.Ive heard that gutting the cats gets rid of the hissing sound but kills low end.The glass pack flows better but its a little too loud and low end is a little weak...not that its been that good is the top end worth the low end loss to x- the cats.I dont want to change gears or anything major due to lack of funds.Exhaust I do myself.I found a guyin Saginaw really close to Ft.Worth that has a in ground dyno jet and gets 60.00 for three pulls.so Im going to get some numbers next month cashola permitting.Anyway long story short I cant make up my freakin mind Only the dyno will tell.............to be continued........or just tell me what I should do As always.... thanx yoosguys

I cut my cats out completely and it made my 50 series flow di/do sound meaner than ever, sounds better than my 84 305 did with no cats and true dual 40's.

As for the hissing, I cant tell you for sure yet, I had a damn exhaust leak before, now had all gaskets replaced and all welds checked and the damn hiss is still there!

To be honest flows sound better on a mustang than anything else Ive heard :flipoff: Im guessing its a bend in the y-pipe or where the two come into one thats hissing. True duals sound a lot different.I had the same setup on my 98 350 and really sounded good
