Also, as stated the input gear on the transfer case must be changes out the the 4l80 gear on the autotrack and a special made one for the AWD tranfercases. It also uses a different adapter between the tranny and transercase then the 60 does. It is much more involved then 2wd swaps.

PS, Would be nice to have this tranny for a spare, You should hold it for me until the LS1truck track day in case history repeats its self,
Man that is some good good info. Let me make sure I am seeing this right.
AWD truck SS or RCSB should not matter either one will use a 4l80 and a 5 speed 2500hd shaft? I am so excited. No 300 dollar shaft for me. Woooo Hooooooooooo. Thanks for posting that.
99RCSB Broke because I wasted thousands and thousands of dollars on my truck.

Yep, it should. I just had to get one ($50) from a junkyard (while on a PT.net GTG trip, lol) to replace my expensive one I got when i first did my swap that was custom made with a stupid CV joint that failed, that it didn't NEED!

The first junk yard one I got I told then I needed one for a 3/4 ton 4 speed tranny and it was too short. They said it should fit 1/2, 3/4, 1 ton. Had him look up the shaft for a 5 speed trans and it was for 3/4 and 1 ton only. Got that shaft and it was perfect length, just like the custom made one.

So now I have both the custom front and rear shaft I had made for my truck are sitting in my shop with about $600 into them and they are useless (rear shaft has a vibration that 2 different shops can't get out of it) and my shortened stock rear drive shaft (didn't know he could shorten and balance a 5" aluminum shaft) and a $50 stock front shaft are in the truck, lol.
