4/6 drop and wheel hop?

Since the 4/6 went on my truck I have noticed a few things that Im not sure are "normal drop" stuff or are things that are just weird.
Drop is control arms/flipkit, shackles

1. Vibration on highway amost like pinion angle is off?
2. Did anybody else have to notch the bed to clear the rearend?
3. Front end feels loose as hell, like a wheel is going to come off?

I would go over ALLL of your bolts again in the front and rear just to make sure everything is tightened to specs. Vibration usually means pinion angle is off after a drop. and yeah you shoulda notched the frame because I have a 6" drop in the back and never hit it unless im hauling something

David, he's talking about notching the center of the bed for the pumpkin.

I personally didn't, but I need to. I know at one time Belltech used to include a notch for the bed crossmember along with their c-notches, but I'm not sure about anymore.

yea i did that, even found an outer tie rod that was alittle loose, it got a bit better but idk. and yea the pumpkin is like an inch away from the bed, not that i have the power now, but i fear if i do ever put some power to it, and it sticks

Did you have an alignment done?

this has already been said but check your pinion angle i have a few friends that do have a 4/6 drop with a flip kit and it threw off the pinion angle and you may want to also get a alignment done also.

oh right, the pumpkin missed that part. I didnt notch the bed and it never hits on bumps

You'll definitely need shims unless you have the adjustable DJM flip kit. If you plan on making big horse power I would run some 6* shims. If not then 4* shims will likely work fine. The best way is to measure your angles. The pinion angle should point down 2-4* from the driveshaft angle.

Yea check pinion angle and make sure your wheels are balanced and good. I lowered mine with my old rims and it vibrated and rode like crap. Got an alignment little better but still there. Sold the rims got some stocks rides perfectly smooth now. Turns out i had a warped rim. not my problem anymore

yea i did the alignment at work the day i did the drop, drove it about a week and was like wtf... redid the alignment just to make sure, and all was good, my front tires are due to be replaced, cause they were some takeoffs from work that happen to be the size i needed, so i know the steering wheel shake at about 55-60 is that problem. I didnt know that the pinion angle would be thrown out that bad. Well where is the best place to get 6* shims then?
