Picking up 40 hp with a cutout means you have too restrictive a muffler. I had the same prob running through a Flowmaster...switched to a Magnaflow and life is better...

i was using lt headers, 3"y pipe, and the stock 3" diesel muffler. worked ok, but went with a 4" magnaflo and felt my l92 cnc ported heads(flowing about 380) breathing way better.
