Newbie, need help with LS1 Swap

Hi, i have an 02 Silverado 5.3L 4x4 i want more power, hints the name. Current engine has bad leaking heads, the truck runs on both gas and water. There is a long story behind the problem but i am trying to move on from here.

I would like to swap it out for an LS1 engine. Could anyone help with some useful info, stories, experiences?

Check out the LSX swap section in here. A lot of people are swapping in the 6.0L LQ4 and LQ9 engines out of the HD's as well as the Silverado SS's. People seem to be finding those for cheaper as well as netting just as good results from them as the high priced LS1s
