    Can I use my truck??

Can I use my truck with my current mods and a stock PCM?? I sent mine to Allen to have it retuned and I have a spare PCM that is not
tuned.. Will it be a problem to use my truck a little bit with it till my tuned PCM arrives?

I thought Allen just took your info sent you a PCM and then you sent yours back as a core, no downtime.

Yeah...something isn't quite right here. Normally, you tell Allen you want a tune, he sends you a PCM, you send him your stock PCM (or another one) as a core. Not sure why you would be out a functioning PCM...

I sent the TUNED PCM to Allen to fix some details on it and tune a walbro fuel pump.. I have an EXTRA PCM (stock) here in my house and I am wondering if it would hurt my engine or something to drive my truck with the stock PCM while I get the tuned PCM back..

You shouldnt have needed to send the tune pcm in. I never have had to. He just sends me and updated one.

Even still...I would think Allen could flash a PCM at his shop, send it to you, you take out the TUNED PCM and send it back to him. Seems a little backwards to me...unless I'm missing something. If Allen tuned it, he has the tune on his computer so I wouldn't think he would need the original PCM to get at the tune. Unless he's fixing a problem from another tuner?

Dont run the stock pcm. it will probably throw a bunch of codes, act up, not account for the 4.10s etc....

And thanks guys, I didn't know that in order to have a retune he could send me another PCM then I could send mine.. Will do that for sure the next time..
