I will prob order the block in a few weeks... If I wait that long. Ill call about them sending a set of 243s with it when I do. If it isnt much more then a few hundred Ill look into it. Ill do some research around Monroe to see if anyone can do good head work and not try to break the bank while doing it. Otherwise Ill prob just order the Patriot heads if I cant find a deal. I never expect something to perform "as advertised" But if it is worth 20 to 30 rwhp I can see use in it. Keep in mind Im still not looking to be the fastest... just faster.

If it was the one that Does the other T/As tunes he did a 224r cam I think for TSP. I know it was a 224 might have been the thunder racing version. And I cant remember his heads. He turned nice numbers for still getting it all tuned up. He gave me his card

Could always get some L92 heads.

They are like $1,000 brand new complete with springs and rockers.
    and flow 300+cfm.

Have to get a L92 truck intake, but you have to find an intake anyway

I already have a intake that I think will work fine r.barn. Thinking I will just use the TBSS intake I have on the 5.3 already.

Well if you went with L92 heads you would need new one.
Thats the route I would take.

Zines made 500+hp with similar swaps.

Ill keep it in mind. I just dont really want to go the l92 head route with new intake and all. Seems like it would be getting really expensive by the end. Im tring to count every dollar. Just wanting to make a step up from where I am with a block I could grow on in a few years haha.
