For all of you Ontarians (Like 5 of us I know)

As of late there has been representatives from the major insurance companies hanging out at Cayuga and Grand Bend, so just a heads up, pull your plates before you get into the staging lanes. Especially if you have that "N" in your rear window. A few people have been dropped from there insurance and if they can get it again the rates are through the roof. Take off your plates, hide them, and beware of people checking your VIN.

It is, but it's part of the "crackdown" on street racing in Ontario. What happened was a couple, let's call them "New Canadians" were racing up the highway blah blah blah cut off a trucker and the trucker had two choices. Crash into a bunch of cars or head for the ditch, he chose ditch but unfotunatly he didn't make it and his wife went on a rampage and now we have a bunch of new stupid traffic laws, modification laws (ex. If you're running N2O it must be clearly posted in the rear window and the gas door, your insurance company must know and the bottle not hooked up at anytime unless on a closed course)

Canadian Politics 101. Everybody aces the course but flunks out at the same time.

thats not even right and i dont think they could do that just because it is a closed corse..and when you race at leased down here you have to sign a waver .if your running n20 it shouldnt matter with your insurance its not like they will cover you if you blow the motor or hit the wall at the track..sorry but this doesnt make any since to me

if its that much crap put a card on top of your vin that says um......off

    Ummmm.....

That does suck but unless you have competition insurance (pro stuff) then there is no one here who's street insurance would ever cover a track accident or even cover the vehicle you drive if they knew you raced it on a closed course.

In fact, you're more likely to keep coverage after a street racing ticket than being caught at the track.

Yeah for instance on pt.net there was a bunch of pictures put up with this guy in a new G8, I mean brand new that was at the track doing some runs. The kid was probably my age. Well somehow, I have NO IDEA how, he put it into the wall and the insurance dropped him and wouldnt even pay for the car

I actully think all the insurance companys are like that in TX. If they find out you are racing at the track be prepared to get dropped...And don't even think about a claim..
