    Leaf spring questions

I've got the stock wuss springs with a 4" drop. My shocks are now shot, and I noticed the driver's rear is 1/2" lower than the pass side. I've removed and re-torqued all the mounting bolts and spring eye bolts. Anyone else have this?

Also, A guy I know has a leaf pack set from a HD 1/2 ton and I was thinking about taking the 2nd-to-top leaf and swapping it for mine, considering it's longer and will support the main leaf alot better. I just wonder what it will do to the ride quality. I wouldn't mind a bit stiffer ride. Any ideas?

Also, the Belltech 2" coils are stiffer in front, so wouldn't I want a little stiffer in back?

I am going through this on my truck as we speak.... Get a rear Air Lift kit for 2" and 4" lowerd trucks with the wireless controll kit. It will give you a 2000 lbs adition to yur truck and you can keep all your stock leaf springs. It will also take all the wishey washey feeling out of your truck. Sorry if I sound weird I am still feeling the effects of the anistesha.

Stiffer is better for handling (assuming you keep traction) but worse on the ride.

IF your entire pack is shot (flat/bending backwards) changing 1 leaf is only going to be a temporary thing.

I'm assuming you have shackles/flip on the rear?

I'd call around, most spring shops can make you up a pack really cheap that will be set for your vehicle height/weight/etc.
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

How much "anistesha" so I need to take to put in the air lift kit?

If you mean shackles/hangers, yeah. I just ordered my shocks. I took the old ones off and it seemed to level it out by over 1/4 ", and the rest might be that my garage floor isn't exactly level..?

Anyways, I'll get em put on and see.. Also I think my axle tube is bent a little cuz my driver's side rim is not level (with the level in the vertical position) and the pass side is really close to level. Maybe I'll just rip it out and get a tubbed 4-link.
