Dose anyone have a good link auto to manual swap in a 2000 fullsize 4x4? Oh and has anyone efer put a shifter in the center consal where the cup holders are? Thank guys

And the Regencys had 4.8s with a 5spd. It's possible for sure. Hopefully George will chime in on here and give you a rundown of what's needed.

The NV4500 was factory behind 6.0's and in 4x4's. The 6 speed you're thinking of is the t56 and will not work in a 4wd.

Do you know what was in the 1/2 ton. My truck is only a 1/2 and dont want to swap out the T-case.

IIRC, the old 6cyl manual trannys were NV2500s. I recommend the NV4500 for a v8.

I own an '01 2500HD (2wd) with the cast iron case NV4500, many were aluminum BTW. The early 8.1's and Duramax were available with 6 spd manuals.
