    Same muffler different sound...

My sister just got the same magnaflow muffler put on at the same shop I had mine installed at 2 years ago. She had it put on an 08 dodge ram quad cab 4.7 litre V8. The muffler is the same length, width, height, color, smell, taste... everything the same. EXCEPT, her's sounds waaaaaaaaay meaner. The ONLY difference is she got 4" wide tips, and mine were 3.5". Do tips really make that much of a difference? Can someone help me understand this?

It is the sound of the engine that is different along the the difference in cats.
    Step 1. crus at it.
    Step 2. get a hammer.
    Step 3. torch it.

The cam in the engine and the firing order make how an engine sounds get you a cam with a tighter lsa and it will sound better.
