    Soggy in Katy

    Just found site.
Got my stock 2000 Silverado in water last weekend and bent 2 rods. I want to go back stock with the bottom end and go about 3 grand faster. I need advice on parts.
I'm thinking about having the heads machined and doing a new cam, headers, intake and having it tuned. Anyone here from west Houston?

If it ate enough water to kill two rods $3000 won't be enough to fix the broken engine plus the trans and axle that have water....oh and the cab/electrical.

No water in cab. Trans and rear end had just been flushed and look good but I'll clean em again.

I'm talking about spending $3000 on parts and machine work including gaskets, ect... Have tools and skill to do all labor, just need tech help.

    lol....

enjoy jokes but like I said its a driver and I need to order parts. I'm sure there is good advice on the board. No disrespect, I would appreciate some direction...

I'm thinking GM hot LS cam and I want to machine my stock heads as close as I can to LS6 specs as possible. The engine has 125,000+

Some here have used that cam and like it. It needs a fair amount of stall and gear to be optimum IMO.

What kind of truck? 2WD or 4WD? Extended or regular cab? What engine? What are the goals? Drag, good street performance, strong towing? Watch that trans good....water is really tough to get out of them and water delaminates the clutch material...
