    will an 08' chevy 5.3L fit in a 99' chevy silverado?

    im about to get one with low miles and just need info to see if it fits or if any one has done it?

    lol yea but will it still have the same motor mounts as my old 5.3?

    it shoud be the same but if not you can get some universal lsx mounts and make them work im shur someone hear has don it

    yes will fit..... but... 08 has 58x reluctor, 99 had 24x reluctor... will need to change the reluctor wheel out an a few other small things to make it work with the old harness... and no... cant just put the 08 harness on it... sorry... will bolt right in though...

    reluctor wheel is on the end of the crankshaft if you were wondering

    Or Lingenfelter makes an adapter harness to make a 58x wheel work with a 24x computer. I can't remember how much it costs, but there's a link to it on LS1tech.com if you search for it.
