06 brakes on an 02
so my buddy did a big brake kit on his 06 crew cab (corvette z06 brakes), so he had the stock size drilled and slotted factory replacement rotors and asked me if i wanted to buy em, so assuming they are the same size i jump on it, well as it turns out the 06 brakes are noticeably bigger, haha i got the rotor on and tried to get the calipers back on and it was no bueno
luckily he still had his brackets and calipers and the whole 9 yards that came off his truck when he did the bigger brakes on his, and as it turns out the 06 brackets/calipers bolted right on my 02...so now i have a big brake kit...lol....below is a pic of the 06 rotor compared to my 02 rotor...

so if any of you 99-02 guys want bigger brakes for cheap go to the junk yard and pull em off a newer truck and it all bolts right up...it was a noticable difference for my little single cab

Yeah, they put bigger fronts on around the time they went back to the stone age rear drums. The knuckles are pretty much the same and so are the calipers so all that needs swapped in most cases is the brackets and the rotors.
