    crap,anyone strip the cam retainer bolts?

    i stripped two bolts that hold the retainer for the cam.

    Idk on those perticular bolts, but at the salvage yard if that happend we heat the bolt up a little bit and hammer in the nextd size. May not work for you but it does us.

    We had to use a slap driver on mine. I hate thos things. I'm puttin an older style plate on mine when I goes back together

    im headed to oreillys see if they have any good extractors,ive never had to use them before.

    Get one of those drivers like I used. You put the bit in it and hit the other end with a hammer and as you hit it, it turns

    Try to lock a vice-grip as tight as possible on the head of the bolt and smack it with a hammer.

    It doesn't have a head. They're recessed in the plate. That's I said get one of those drivers...

    Sharpen a small chisel and tap the bolt head on the edge, with a hammer, counter clockwise, of course.
    Maybe you'll get enough bite on the edge to get the bolt loose, that's how we've done it.
    I've loosened many bolts this way.
