Thread: quarter mile time?

    hey i was just wondering if anyone could predict approximatley what id run in the 1/4 i have a regular cab 6ft bed 99 Z71 5.3 with a granatelli mas air sensor...K&N intake..tornado..airaid tbspacer...msd wires...bosch plat 4 plugs...granatelli predator tune with firmer shifts and shift points at 1-2 40 at 5800 and 2-3 at 80 at5700 and 3-4 at 5700...flowmaster 50 series exhaust with turndowns.. my truck will chirp 2nd so it does have some nut

    im going to go to the track but i was just wondering if anyone had an idea what id run thanks

    Depends what size tires you&#39;re running...

    stock... upper 15s. 285s or so... upper 16s

    take your tornado out and your gas economy and times will probably be better.

    With my Nelson tune on my 99 5.3 ex cab I am running mid 15&#39;s. All my mods are listed in my sig. I think he could break 16 at least. I also have 285&#39;s.

    Depends on weather and how you stage up. I ran when it was hot as hell and didn&#39;t brake stall... ran a 10.6 @ 66mph... or about 16.5 in my Z. Mine has a decent amount of mods. I too run 285s...

    E-fans, FIPK, tune, TransGo, Flow

    yeah i think i am gonna take out the tornado it didnt really change anything but it didnt make my gas milage shittier or anythinim also gonna get the ls1 blaster coils and a bbk throttle body.. and along the way prob june ill get a nelson tune think thatl change my time

    oh also this may sound stupid but whats a vette servo and whats the big deal about it, it hasto do with the transmission doesnt it?

    The corvette servo is in the transmission and it has a bigger piston then stock so it can apply the band harder. This keeps the transmission from slipping.

    how hard is it to install one and is it a noticable gain ?
