The ypipe is big enough to flow more than enough for a N/A 5.3 or 6.0, just make sure the rest of the exhaust is free flowing, mine's 3" from the headers back. I still need to go re-dyno it though.

The flanges are plenty thick but i'm not sure the exact thickness. As far as emissions go you would have to get the codes tuned out through the PCM via a tune. The extra o2's after the cats get removed along with the egr system, they can all be tuned out of the computer. You'd have to find a place that is a little relaxed on the visual part of the inspection.

The visual part I'm not worried about but the electronic end is where I could see a problem. Will a tuner like a Hypertech disable the emissions or do I need something fancier or have the dealer to do it ? How does the inspection uplink not see that the emissions are turned off?

    Thanks!

nope, that tuner it wont disable your egr, you need efi or even hptuners. And once you delete the egr you may have to modify your tune.

Alright my headers are ordered and should be here shortly. My next question is will the truck even run if I put them and the rest of the exhaust on and dont get it tuned? I drive this truck back and forth to college so I cant have it down for more than a day or two. Someone had said the EGR had to be blocked off, does anybody make a kit to do this or am I just flying by the seat of my pants?

    Thanks.

It will run. May be a little lean but the stock tune is rich enough I doubt it will be a big deal. Need to get tuned for other reasons too.

If you have the egr just plug the hole off in the manifold with a expandable plug for napa or any auto store really.

    LPP's

does this system bolt right up to your existing exhaust? how many SS 304 band clamps do you need for installation? how is the power after installing them? is it notiecable? is it louder?

im not shur if the stock system can be fitted to work since i redid the hole system, had to use 3 band clamps on mine. and for the power i felt a nice bottom end and a little more on top. well worth the money. and it acually gave it a more mellow sound. i can get some pics up if you want.
