Does the 4.8 wire harness plug right up to a 5.3 or do you have to get a new harness? Also, how does the CPU work with the swap? Does it need a reprogram or a CPU out of a 5.3? Not doing this any time soon, but I wanted to get an idea.

2010 Silverado ECSB LS 4x4. Only mods so far are a K&N drop in filter and a Rough Country 2" front level kit
Wiring harness on a 4.8 should work on a 5.3 and 6.0 depending on year.
The only issue is drive-by-wire o drive-by-cable.
The PCM will work, but it will need to be retuned for the larger engine. Plus it takes advantage of the power, as i just found out.
