I have been running E-85 for several months and really like it. It is very boost friendly. E-85 is 106 octane. You will use about 30% more of it. I have a stock longblock 305 and am running 42lb injectors which are too small. At 16lbs of boost I am at 127% injecor duty cycle. I have backed off the boost until I can afford some bigger injectors. I run 2 fuel pumps---The stock pump and a Walbro that kicks in at 4lbs boost.

You can run it on regular fuel---Except that your tune will be set up too rich on reg gas. When reg gas prices are low---E-85 is less economical---because you use about 30% more of it. When reg gas prices are high---E-85 is more cost effective. Unless you are running pretty big boost or have a high CR, I would stick to regular gas because it's easier to get. But, with all that being said--I love E-85.

People rave about E85 , say no KR with insane timing , when tuned right makes huge power .
Key is compression , more the better .
Has no knock but will predetonate if hot spots are present , small hot spots of carbon will cause it to burn .
    Good stuff for racing .
Now what is a tune again?

Think George (Quik) talked about E-85 on here before. Uses more to go, works good, but is harsh on engine parts. Correct me if I am wrong.
