    its ok ramsey, i hate snakes as well, they scare the poo out of me as well, i encountered a chicken snake, completely hamless, non venomness, but they can be fiesty, i grabbed a 350 camel hump head and beat the crap out of it and then grabbed a running board and cut his friggin head off

    i hate hearing stuff like this...it would be like me killing a dog cause it scared me...snakes mean you no harm and wont come after you, any striking the do at you is because they are scared and trying to defend themselves

    Moooooze cmon now .copperheads?timber?I have heard of the rattllsnake,maybe waaaay over were you lived in the beeffalo area some of these species.I live just 5-10 mins away from the mountains near lake george if youve heard of it.so i do git in the adirondacks quite often.i build alot of houses in the adirondacks and do alot of work theyre[$$$$$]seasonal people ,come from nyc and spend all the money they worked so hard for ,to stay for 1 month a year.lol.I really have only heard of rattles,and garter -gaarden snakes up here and thats only from the old timers[rattlesnakes.].annd no im not a hiker.

    snakes will chase you. cotton mouths are very protective, ive been chased on more than one occasion by one on the river banks.....lol.... not cool..... when i worked down in Zapata we used to catch huge rattlers after work all the time, they sell for good money.
