My .02. I run Alpine and JL audio with a Clarion Head Unit. Alpine Mid / Highs on a 4 ch amp with a single JL 10W7 3ohm sub on a HD750/1 amp. Crystal Clear and rediculiously Loud.
2000 GMC Sierra RCSB with a 5.3 and 4L60E. Let the games begin. Started with Camaro E-fans, Nelson Harness, 160* thermo, PaceSetter LT's, Random Tech Cats Hooker Aerochamers and true dual 3" Dumped at the bumper, 2/4 drop, NP performance tune, Built 4L60 and Alpine audio, TR220 cam, LS6 Ported Oil Pump, LS2 Timing Chain, LS2 Lifter trays, Vigilante 3k stall conv., Built 4L60E, 4.11 gears, Detroit Tru-Trac and all of that adds up to no traction and garbage 60' times. What next......?

CompVR's are definitely the best for their price. I had on 10" CVR in a probox with a 1000W Memphis D class amp on it, and it took all the punishment i wanted to throw at it. That was one bad-ass speaker. But honestly, i'll never own a single sub again, it just doesn't hit as hard as i'd like. That's why i have 3!

Here is my two cents while I am here.... ditch the bose completely and use a 4-channel. There is a wirring harness that the 70-2003 plugs right into to bypass the bose right behind your air controls behind the composite sub-dash. next up, Kicker sucks IMO. use either Rockford, Diamond Audio, or JL. as for amps, same as any of those 3 brands. Everyone wants to run Klicker and I think it is WAY over rated. I have never been satisfied with any Klicker products as I have Diamond or JL. Also I have never torn up a Rockford or Diamond sub. I have installed and sold just about everything you can think of and Diamond or Rockford are by far my favorites. For mids and highs I would definitely use Diamond for those. They are the loudest, clearest speakers i have ever heard hands down. I think Klicker mids and highs sound muddy as with everything else Klicker. I have some Impulses that were installed by the original owner of my new truck and I hate'em, He also ran some MTX components up front which are ok, but will soon be replaced by Diamonds. I already jerked out the Alpine amp and Panasonic Head for my Eclipse CD7100 and installed my Rockford T5001bd and T4004. There's my opinion dudes, wether you asked for it or not.

Yeah, Memphis is good, especially for the price. When it comes down to it though Diamond Audio kills all, it's just friggin' EXPENSIVE!!!! Memphis has really good sound quality even for their lower end stuff. I'm just a die hard Diamond Audio fan even though I can't afford it. I got the Fosgate stuff cos I like it and I employee purchased it so I got a HELL of a deal on it.
