Think that is the issue. At least it sounds like it with the hood up. Loud hissing sound toward one area... rear of motor. Will see.

Mine was doing the same. it turned out to be the hose going to the booster leaking, I fixed that and now it runs fine.

I hear something "hissing" toward the back of the intake, but hadn't messed with it to verify. Could probably smoke the engine and notice right off the bat. Will see. Just wanted get it together before my house went ACTIVE on the MLS. Selling a house with a "dead" vehicle isn't a plus. Besides, I had to move it in order to paint the wall it was blocking.

I'll dingle around with it sometime this week... HOPEFULLY!

Found the leak. Seems there's a port on the passenger side of the intake that is not "open" from the factory. Somehow or 'nother, the tab broke off, and "opened" that port. As a "make-shift" workaround, I took a short piece of rubber hose, slid on that potential vacuum port, and plugged the other end of the hose with a machine screw. Seals the hole for now. Need a permanent solution though.

With that said, I drove the truck to work this morning (50 miles one way), and had ZERO issues. It's back to it's old self again. Even the part about sucking up fuel at WOT!!!

So far, so good. I have some pictures of the new block before I cleaned some "kruud" out of it. Will post later this evening.
