The cost to port/polish your heads and install larger valves (if they'll fit) would probably be more than buying the LS-1 heads from Patriot, which would probably flow better.

Plus, if you have true LS-6 valves (sodium filled), they are longer than other LS-series valves, so you'll need shorter push rods.

I would get the Patriot heads and sell off the parts you have - you'd probably be money ahead.
Of course, that's just my opinion and I could be wrong.
    Do your due diligence.

ok i just found out i dont have ls6 valves and springs they are out of and ls2, so what does that make the valve sizes?...2.00 still?

are they longer...or they same length as the 862 head valves?

Meh, the only thing you can really do on 862 heads is a CNC clean up, .030 decking, and a 5 angle valve job. That will put them to like a Stage 1.5 head. I would not go to the expense of putting in larger valves...I would jump to a better flowing head.
