Just from my experiance, you may want to check for leaks at the injectors where they seat into the intake. Mine where leaking there causing the same issues with idle. I had to tweak the fuel rails and brackets a little to get them all seated properly. Good to hear it fired!

take what you read from them with a grain of salt. Hot rod is known for doing test that aren't good for the real world. the test they ran on the 5.3 that they got 120hp out of a cam and heads was next to worthless. they ran large tube headers and single plane intake manifold with a large carb on it. that engine thrown into most cars would be hell to drive on a daily basis, or at rpms lower then 4500. if the cam would have been a little smaller, the intake dual plane and the carb a hair smaller the engine would have still made +100 or or hp, would have seen a wider tq curve, and would have been a blast to drive on a daily basis and at the track. but they do thier test to make max numbers instead of usable numbers so that its eye catching.

Ricky! That is not the cam you want with that set up. The 224 is his old cam. New cam is 232/238 .612"/.607" 112LSA +2
