Thread: My trany

    when i shift from park to reverse it slam pertty hard and when i shift to over drive it does the same. It have never had this problem before so i don't know what it could be. I don't know if it is slipin, skipin or going out and i hope its not.

    does anyone have a helpful sulotion or hint?

    This can happen if the pressure control sol. is bad or the connector is off.

    Check that out and see what you find, I'm assuming it's a late model tranny.

    I'm with allen on this one....I myself was having the same problem so I took it up to the local Chevy Dealership and had the pressure control selenoid replaced.
    The whole job cost me $320.

    hey allen the transmition is late model it is the stock one in my 1987 c-10

    Is it a 700-R4 in your 1987 model? That uses a TV Cable for shifts..
