I just put a new grill on the truck. My truck is black and the stock grill was chrome on the center bar, and black around the center section. The one I got at the local Super Chevy Show is carbon fiber looking on the long center bar and chrome where it was black, so I'm not sure what color I would paint the bowtie. I saw some at the SCS that were shiny black with red trim that looked real nice, but they were the wrong size for my grill. Oh well!
The carbon fiber look sounds sweet. If you saw a look you liked that was the wrong size, if your bow tie has a clear plastic front, if you could remove from the grill you could prolly remove all the paint and stuff from the back side, mask it, and paint it however you wanted. Have you seen any that have been done that way? Just a thought.

For those interested...here are a few pics of my truck with the 33x11.5's. I think it looks good for now...that is until I finally lift it.

Looks sweet. You can run 33's without lifting it? Are you having any clearance issues? IMHO if you aren't having clearance problems and the fronts don't rub when you turn I wouldn't lift it, if you do you have all this empty space with no tire to fill it in. Even with a 3" lift on my Dodge I had to trim a little of the front facia where it wrapped back to the fender well, but mine are 12.5's so a little wider tire would need more room when it turned.
