    Two-Step?

Can some one explain exactly how this works? (No funny comments on dancing)! Does it help turbo guys build boost off the line or what?

well as we speak at the track we are using it on a TT viper....the way it works is say we have his set at 5200 right now....he pulls up to the line floors it and it holds him at 5200 so he can build the boost and leave at that rpm....kind of like a trans brake

Does it have a button to release when it's time to go? Kinda like a governor for RPM's?

So it's used in combination with a line lock? And you can't use it if you still have cats? Sorry for all the questions but this sounds like something I need.

I think I have to have them since I live in a county that does emissions inspections. I didn't see a button or something to release the 2 step when you are ready to go. Am I missing something?

is the two step the thing that makes some drag cars sound like they are blowing up on the line? sounds like they are banging the limiter with half a motor or something...
    02 Sierra... motorless for now.

You set the rpm that you want the 2-step to engage at. Step on the brake, hit the momentary switch to activate it and floor the gas. Mine is set at 2800 rpm. When the motor hits 2800 spark is cut to every other cylinder and they alternate so it won't wash the cylinder walls. The rpms will stay at what you have them preset for. Unburnt fuel will enter the exaust and ignite causing the turbo to spool up. When you let off the brake pedal all cylinders begin to fire. When a car is using a 2-step it sounds like it is banging off the rev-limiter.

What kind are you using? How hard are they to install? Any brands to watch out for? Sounds like my next mod.....
