    need mods now!!!!

ok i cant stand it i need to mod my yukon or something lol its quick i mean surprisingly quick for its size but that damn torque management bs really pisses me off!!! i know all the first basic mods to help it breath and a tune will really wake it up but i want to kinda get a good idea on best bang for the buck mods and get everything together and put it all on at once. i know i want lt headers and full exhaust but damn headers for gen III motors are pricey. i was looking at a set of obx racing headers with catted y but no one on the tahoe/yukon boards has any opinion on them. id like to wait and do a tune after i have a ful echaust and intake done so i get a good increase in power and maybe mileage at the same time. i have been looking into the ls6 cam swap but im still debating on that and something like that would come at a later time. i plan to tow with it some in the future so i want to have someting with a good power band from low-mid rpm. unlike what i have in my 82 t/a that has no balls untill 2500 lol. anyway sorry for my ranting its been a long day but any good sugestions on mods/parts that are effective and decently priced let me know thanks

    Engine Swap

I feel like i have done every bolt on and mod.... intake, exhaust, headers, cam, heads, intake manifold, and a nelson tune. I just recently purchased a 02 ls1 long block w/ 36k for 1500$ i installed the engine myself the install cost me around 1700$ including the engine. All the other crap i bought before (headers, exhaust, intake ect...)my engine swap was probly 1500$-2000$ If could do it all over again i would get a used ls1 long block and just get it over with.

Before my engine swap when i raced my friends 5.3 ECSB i only beat him by 1 car length. Now after my engine swap i beat him by 5 car lengths.

If you are mechanically able to do a engine swap DO IT! It is definatly your best bang for your buck. Plus now you have a bigger engine to build up from.
Just my opinion from personal experince.

well i wouldnt mind doing a motor swap but that would be in the future arfter this one goes boom since this is my dd right now till i get m exhaust completely finished and a few bugs worked out of my 82 t/a i dont want it down for too long. i just want some more power so its a little more enjoyable to drive, its fine once i get moving but beacuse of its size and weight its a dog down low and im very lucky if i can get it to spin tires on dry pavement
