Looking to redo the exhaust on my truck. Currently have stock Y-pipe running a single pipe into a 2-chamber flowmaster and two pipes exiting at the rear with 45 degree angle.
I know this has got to be choking my engine.
So I have decided to run a true-dual exhaust with a magnaflow X-pipe to two Hooker Header Aero Chamber mufflers and exit them out the rear at a 45 degree angle.

    How does this sound?
Think this will improve my exhaust?
Any suggestions to improve this setup?
And does anyone have a similar setup I could see and if possible get a sound-clip of?

    Thanks,
    Ron

Is your Flow a 3 inch inlet and 2- 2 and a halfs out?

I don't think your exhaust is as choked up as you think.

Yep that is exactly how it is setup.

Silverbullet: I'm not going to use Magnaflow mufflers........they don't flow as well as I would like. I am just using their X-pipe for my true dual, instead of the traditional H-pipe people use.

I'm using the Hooker Header Aero Mufflers. Type that in on google.com and you will see what I mean.

Do you not like the sound you currently have? Are the Aero Chambers louder?

The sound is fine but its time for a change. The Aero's are not louder at idle but hey are from 2000 to 3000 rpms and i believe it will flow better with the X-pipe true dual. I just wanna make sure my engine can breath at its best and a stock Y-pipe isnt gonna accomplish that. I think i'm gonna go with a 3.5" inlet and 3" outlet on the mufflers.
