    anybody got a 5.3 bored out to a 5.7

Just wondering what you guys numbers are.

What do you think about this.. I want to do a LSX swap in my 240SX. LS1's are too much for me so thinking about the 5.3. Then later down the road boring it out to a 5.7 and later maybe a turbo or nos. The iron block should hold up better. Just looking for around 450ish N\A with it being bored out. Do you think this is possible? Just throwing ideas out there. Thanks for reading.

WOW...450 N/A from 5.7L of displacement? Uh, if you build a forged 370 setup you could obtain those numbers... You can bore a 5.3L block out to a 5.7L with no problems, but that is as far as you can go. Talk with member MunsonAuto (Tanner). He is also currently doing a 5.3L into a S14 as well...

Well I guess I should make my self a little bit more clear. Of course with all the bolt ons, cam, heads, intake. 450hp would be about the max 400-450 is closer to what head and cam LS1s are making.

We've done a few iron block 383's, they turn out great!
They were turbocharged, so of course we met our 450hp goal, you'd need an aggressive cam to hit 450hp, to the wheels, but at the engine that should be easy enough.

If you bore it out, use Stage III heads, atleast a 224R cam, Pushrods, PRC valve springs, LS2 intake, 90mm TB, 60 lb. injectors, 255l/ph fuel pump, Long tube headers, ORY, CAI, e-fans, and a custom tune--you can get to 425 hp.
