Their prices are hard to beat! They're local to the DFW area, too. Rowlett.

Yeah, transparts is great if you want to save sales tax to pay for shipping.

ok...finally got things lined out after the swap....will it hurt anything to put the servo in without a re-tune?

If you had your shift firmness done in the tune they yea your going to want a re tune but i recommend live for that. its so you can get a feel for the shifts. you don't want to jar your teeth out from low mph shift, it feels like your getting rear ended

Have to make sure the pin length is EXACTLY the same as the one you pulled out!!!! If not, you will burn up the band because it isn't adjusted correctly! I would use your original pin with this set up...easy to transfer over, just make sure you pull it apart and put it back together exactly the same order.

For this thing to work to the best of it's ability, get the trans-go kit for the valve body too. It isn't hard to install and you will save a bunch of 'slippage' on the stock tranny...GM makes these things last in stock form but the trans-go kit is the best shift improver for them...they use the accumulators in the valve body to adjust shift firmness instead of just raising line pressures like all the other kits do...this allows smooth part throttle shift and mean WOT shifts!

If you've already installed it...I'd pull it and make sure the pin lengths are the same...otherwise, you could be pulling this tranny out in a few months!

my .02...i rebuild trannys at the house (sick hobby).

Look at this website...great info on the trans-go shift kits and why to use them. 700R4 & 4L60E Automatic transmissions specialists - ProBuilt there is more out there to read up on as well.
