Sounds like both of which might be related or on the same power circuit. Get it in and see what happens. Vince

I am having the exact same symptoms now on my 96 GMC K1500 4L60E LQ9 408. If i let off the throttle it will sometimes shift but most of the time it won't. The only thing that is working on my dash is the spedo. The tach, fuel, temp, etc are not working. I can accelerate up to a point but then it sounds as though I am hitting the rev limiter but I am no where near it. I'm not sure what to do, any help is greatly appreciated. I was hoping to get a year or two out of the 60 before I go to an 80.. Thanks, RC

Vince, do you have the ability to look at HPTuner data>? As soon as I can get ahold of a non Mac laptop i will download the data and have it available. I thought the shop that did the dyno tuning would have taken care of everything in the PCM but you never know. I am hoping so and all I need to do is some wiring problem but I had a custom harness made.. Very frustrating.. RC

I would not have a clue on the hp tuners deal. I am just a dumb tranny guy you know! I would however contact Allen Nelson or try HP Tuners Bulletin Board - Powered by vBulletin Web site. They will be of much more help to you for tuning. Vince

If they both started going haywire at about the same time, I'd say they are related to the cluster recall. Take it into the dealership and bring your letter and have them fix everything.

The new recall is for the 04-and up trucks as well...
