I would like everyone to know the new ford 5.4L 24 valve trucks are slow as hell. Raced one on my way home and all i saw was headlights. however, my truck started running funny and smokes a little when sitting idling. so i did a compression test and No.2 is 120psi and the rest are 170psi. I have heard great things about engine restore. I know yall are probably thinking that its just like all the other engine reviving products out there but i have had some sucess with it so im going to give it a try. It will at least tell me if its the rings or my valves. My luck its probably the valves though. Just one more reason to put an ls1 in it. I finally decided to go with the 5.7 instead of the 6.0 simply because i am having a hard time finding a lq9 6.0. That is a way down the road though tuition is putting a big hurt on my check book. But thats not going to stop me from getting the ls1. Im selling my other truck.
