How come if you reply to a post, if you refresh that post disappears from the new post list?

the latests posts go by cookies. since you submit the post yourself it is figured that you knew you made your own post and doesnt count it as a new one. other people will still see your post as new until they view it. if you post things and forget frequently that you have posted them welcome to the club

this is the only site that ive been on setup like that SC, dont feel bad.
most sites dont update the thread views immediately because it is server intensive.
