question about CR witth ls1 heads

okay, me and my friend installed me headers a while back and ever since i have fought with leaks because we, actually he, broke quite a few bolts like 3 on one side and two on the other. and i even got some really nice soft alluminum gaskets and they worked for awhile but last night racing my friends turbo 3rd gen (damn that car freakin moves) i blew it out again.
my question is i can get a set of ls1 heads really cheap but they are the 583 castings and have 66cc chambers. which is fine with me because i will just turn up the boost. but how much will i have to turn it up to get some performance. and how sluggish will i be off boost. will it be a dog from gaining just 5cc. and i also found out the the ls1 heads have a bigger intake valve, so thats a plus.
although it sucks i had to cancel my order for the livernoise stage 2 heads, to appease the wife and get the TBSS. $1200 is alot for a set of heads. the ls1's are way cheaper and with high ratio rockers and cam i'll be good and the headers will seal, finally.

you really won't notice a difference and you will be just a little safer to run a little more boost, i would say find a set of 243 heads just a little bit better of a head
