    squeaky pulley. replace tensioner?

i think it is my power steering pulley that is squeaking like crazy. does it all the time, even at idle, and especially during acceleration.

i used a screwdriver to pry the tensioner back, to tighten the belt up, and the squeak pretty much went away. i had to move the tensioner back almost an inch to get it to stop squeaking.

will replacing the tensioner solve the problem?

    thanks

It could very well solve the problem. Do the cheap/easy pulleys first, tensioner, then idler, then new belt and see if that doesnt fix it. I had a 60 dollar belt on here that I replaced with a cheap 11 dollar one and the squeak went away.
