But then again what does the custom tuning consist of? No transmission adjustment right? It does like 2* of advance timing and what else?

Timing advance is nothing compared to a full tune, the removal of the drive by wire restriction is worth several tenths at the track alone. And they will give you up to 5 tunes. 87/91/93 octane tunes, nitrous, and valet. And no way to do the shift points since its controlled by its own ecu that is in the tranny.

You have the option of sending in your ecu for the reflash or buying the loader and load them yourself with a laptop. Valet mode usually won't let it over a certain mph and changes the rev limiter so no chance of coming near redline. A handheld was near completion from Cobb tuning who also had made some gains in changing shift points/firmness, line pressure, ect. but they sold out to a unnamed company. So this unnamed company will be releasing a handheld programmer soon, sucks that we don't know by who or a release date.

Oh ok well thats cool. Hopefully the handheld y'all get is better than the handheld hypercrap that is on the market for our trucks. Luckily i've never had the blessing of using a handheld.

Several companies have already told ud its not them. We are all hoping that its not Jet or Hypertec. Banks is staying tight-lipped and so is SCT. Diablosport said no. Whoever it is I can't wait for it. I have no laptop and I don't want generic tunes. Dynotune is $800 at Uprev in Austin. But they have yet to crack the ecu on the 08's so I'm stuck until then.
