Anyone have any idea's to get the board alive? Its beginning to die down and I dont want it to stop. We need to think of ways to always keep it new and going.

    Any idea's/suggestions would be nice.

Thanks for being members and posting guys! I dont want what someone on another forum said, "if it wasn't for us, there would be no you" to ring true and the board become dead. I hope it actually takes off to shut that a-hole up and b/c this is probably the old site geared towards ls1 trucks and truck performance. I know fullsizechevy.com is big and all, but it seems more bullshiting (just talking) and not too much performance wise.

    Thanks y'all

part of it is ing a bit, thats makes it a little more a relaxed atmosphere ...but i think stickers for trucks, business cards and or flyers always help, but thats on a physical level(handing out this stuff) what about advertising it somewhere online?

    you asked for it.

Well you need some BS to help living things up brings smiles to people.
Maybe host some video's for people for a week or two of races.
Events member were in or attended.
Is this site like Fullsizechevy, LS1.com,sshotrods.com, ls1tech.com
You made yourseft small by going into one type of vichicle. A car or truck with an LS1 replacing the ext. motor.
The more car = more people more info.
I wanted a site to get information to the point good and bad about different things.
You can change it like sshotrods.com .IT seems to be a local site for around the Gulf coast.
Most of you are from around that area but to do that you need to open it up more.
like 1500sleeper said go to the track, car shows pass out fliers, cards .
Have meetings (get together) with other in the club and food place car peolpe hang out at. Cruise together to place. ( help locally)
Have Allen get in trouble at LS1.com by posting there.
Look at your member list. E-mail them and ask what would they like. We have like 73 member I think 2 responded already and some have posted anything.
I have no clue as how to get more people involed beside start local and work your way out by word of mouth ot keyboard.
I got some good info on there that I am going to use this week.
I will think about it some more. hopefully some more replies will be more helpful.
You can get some BS started of the people local.

99 Red silver, you're full of ideas, thanks a lot for them.

I'll get with domeskilla to get some flyers made up, even somthing simple will help. I'm thinking I can get about 1,000 made and see if the local track will hand them out
at the pay booth. Maybe they will, duh no.

You're right about expanding. Not many people have LS1's in their trucks or are even interested. I was thinking of having a secion for non-v8 trucks.
    Things like s-10's, sonoma's, diesels (v8 i know)

Even maybe Dodge and Ford ( I can't believe I said that) Maybe we can convert a few of them. Probably not on this one. I'll have to be convinced. It will spark some conversations though, and flames, which are fun to read.

We can make a section for good dealers and what to be aware of. I hope that 's legal.

I used to send an LS1Truck Member Email once in a while, but there are only four of us and that is slow sometimes. I"ll get back on that.

Don't you know I'm not allowed to post on other sites about this one, lol

If anybody has an idea, I don't mean about the forum, about anything , maybe you need to run something by the forum, post it, maybe you need a part or need some expertise from someone who does AC , for example, ask away. I know I found an AC guy to help me with my setup when I get my bracket fabbed.

    thanks,

    allen

I found this board of Allen Posting on Ls1.com It was small but I got some answer there had I need that worked with what I had. There is not much action on here and I will ask friends to help with info on what will make it better but with the present format it is going to be hard to get people to come and stay. Question I am changing out my motor in a whatever how, whats needed, get info gone. I like it but to build member ( people) they need a reason to come back and talk. I don't see that here yet. Sorry but the true. I said I would do something and I am going to do it. I enjoyed getting the info. from you all I think 4-6 of you and will keep you up to date on my truck because you all help the most because I did not want to post on the other's. It also help to know somebody on the site to talk to and know what is going on in their life. I am not mach. knowledgable but I will help were I can> I did a lot of searching on the site to find the info. I need. Some info. I forgot and wanted to get something started. But Something with the 4-6 that post Why? I really what this to be a good info. site. How to get it I don't know ! All I know is the way I think. Sleeper is the word I will use. Just the guy that is going to do the work knew what I was up to. I used you to help make sure I was going in the right direction. It is hard to get people to start if they don't have anything to deal with. Sorry guy's I had one to many beers and I would like this to work for all of you. I will shut up now and ask some peolpe to check it out. I don't think they will post but I should get some info from them I hope. Well maybe what they want to see.

Yea, i will admit, allen and I have been slacking in the info department lately. All we talk about is the 2.2 s-10 turbo kits and his shop. But I get my new comp tomorrow or tursday and i will add what i have on here that i can't open /bc i dont have the program to do it. Then I will hound Allen to get swap info, what is needed, tips, basica tuning tips, etc.. Its amazing how sites that are JUST boards do so freaking well and sites with info, are left behind..

ls1tech is kicking ass.. just a board
ls1.com has a site, but i think the board is busy

same way in the honda world

honda-tech.com is just a board and has 4x,xxx ppl
hondaswap.com has some great info and has almost 20k ppl and also has very knowledgable ppl.

But, i promise i will put all the info i can find up here. I will be doing a bag wiring diagram, how tos on installing bags when i do mine, etc. Teh littlest stuff could get wrote up and stuck up. There are some ppl that want to know about mounts, i can post a pic and how to make them, etc. When Allen does Brandons, if he does.. i'll have him take pics of the steps. Other various idea's i have and allen has.

Just come comfort, more stuff is coming.. i'd like to get most of it up before i get busy on other work i get.

Thank you for the input guys and for being honest about it.

So you want a site full of good info. and is busy? How to do that is the question. What will get people here and keep them coing back?

What keeps them coming back is the board. The info never changes, it does, but it wont keep them coming back. The bullshitting on the board will keep them coming back. It also takes a strong board to keep a board going. I have been on 2 that have failed to do much and 1 that has gone from 500 to 20k members since september 02. (not saying this isn't a strong board)

If we show we have the info, then ppl will know we have credit for knowing out stuff, so we are working on getting some great information up.

Allens goal was to have a "1 stop shop". They can get anything they want here. From answers to how-to's, etc. That will come, its a slow process at first, plus ls1 trucks is a rare breed, but i think we might expand out. I'd love to market the 2.2 s-10 turbo kits here, seeing as other forums (*cough*s10forums.com*cough*) are hung up on www.turbos-10.com 's kit. Which pics can be seen here http://domeskilla.ls1truck.com/domes/pics/ the ones marked "turbo" is the ONLY s-10 kit out there. I have broad knowledge and I am into many many different things..

Thanks Paul for the idea's.. Awesome job man. i'll be working my ass off here today getting some info up if my comp comes in.
