Good progress! I went ahead & removed the front core support & bumper when I was at that stage. It was easy & gave me alot better access to fitting the motor mounts, etc. It also allowed me to degrease & brush on black epoxy "POR15" frame/suspension paint. Not that I'm suggesting YOU do that or anything(?) LOL...Looks great, keep up the good work. Gar

Yea, the core support and stuff is coming off probably tomorrow or this weekend sometime.. We are also going to paint all the frame and the engine bay, once we figure out what part of the harness can go and what part needs to stay.. thanks for the kind words.. im sure ill run into plenty more problems but this site has been a ton of help and I know i can find the answers..

    Thumbs up

ridnlow...Question? In the picture of your LS1 motor, on the ground, to the left of the engine...What exactly is that thin aluminum piece of trim? I have that same piece left over from my install & I'll be damned if I can remember where the hell that thing goes!!!??? Do you know? Thanks, Gar

I asked my brother (he does most of wrench turning) and he said he had to take that off the manifold in order to get to the motor mounts.. I guess it is a heat shield of some kind??
