4.8L performance options?

What performance options do the Vortec 4800 4.8L engines have?
I don't want to use the truck setup, as the engine won't be going into a truck. I am thinking about using LS1 componets off a camaro. Will the LS1 heads hurt compression much? How far can a 4.8 block be bored out too? Any info will be appreciated.

There are tons of options. I'll build mine like the camaros too, good choice, but really all parts basically fit all of the gen III engines.
I would say get a set of 4.8 or 5.3L heads worked over really good, that'll be perfect. Not sure on the boring, but maybe someone can chime in.
